Giving Hope to visually impaired girls
Aatmjyoti Residential Blind Girls’ School, Gwalior, M.P. (India), is a Non-Profit Organization (NGO) run and managed by an all-women staff. The objective of this school is to provide visually impaired girls with a support system based on a holistic learning pattern where they can learn to read and write, as well as get exposure to various skills such as art & craft, sports, music, etc. to become confident and self-reliant individuals.

Aatmjyoti Residential Blind Girls’ School (operated by Atmajyoti Vikas Samiti) is on a mission to empower visually chalanged girls and make them self-reliant.
However, to fulfil this mission and manage the day-to-day affairs of the school, collaboration from society is solicited.

Accommodation
The school has all the facilities needed for a comfortable stay and is a home away from home for these girls.
Braille
To facilitate better comprehension and learning, we conduct our classes using Braille as the medium of imparting education.
Preventive health & Nutrition
We conduct preventive health checks regularly and provide nutritional diets, along with necessary medical facilities, to keep our students healthy.
Smart Education
AATMJYOTI provides quality education to all the children through digital medium as well. The institute try it’s best to facilitate laptop/ desktop and smart phone to every student for the continuation of their studies.
Yoga & Gym
Yoga training helps our girls stay healthy and positive. Some of our girls have won gold medals in Yoga competitions at the state and national levels.
Cultural Activities
Music not only brings a calming effect but also makes a good occupation. We encourage our girls to learn various musical instruments such as tabla, harmonium, etc., dancing as well as singing.
Cooking & Bakery
We offer cooking and bakery classes for our girls which not only help them become confident but also self-reliant.
Art & Craft
Through our art and craft classes, we tap into the individual talents of these girls and help them achieve their full potential.
SPORTS
Sports offer great opportunities to build physical and mental strength. Sporting activities play a significant role in developing the physical and mental well-being of young children.

Our mission is to empower visually chalanged girls by offering them a platform where they can learn to become independent and confident citizens and live with dignity.
Our objective
Imbuing Self-confidence
To provide full residential facilities to visually challenged girls, which include all the basic amenities and formal education via braille technology (a system that enables visually chalanged and visually impaired people to read and write through touch), along with extracurricular activities and workshops in computers education, fine arts and craft, music & dance, yoga and sports. All the expenses are being borne by the trust to imbue self-confidence and ensure all-around skill and personality development by providing a competitive platform to these underprivileged girls, enabling them to join mainstream society.
