Louis Braille, who was blinded at the age of three, invented the system in 1824 while a student at the Institution Nationale des Jeunes Aveugles (National Institute for Visually chalanged Children), Paris.It enable people with blindness and visual impairments to read and write through touch . visually chalanged persons moves hands from left to right, usually it involves both hands .Braille consist of arrangement of dots which make up alphabet , number and punctuation marks .
Braille is used in everyday communication as listening is not enough for a person to learn something . braille gives a feeling of independence to a visually chalanged person. It is difficult for a visually chalanged person independently wander in society without knowing braille . Now a days we can see that almost at each and every place , a visually chalanged person can use braille like means of transport , electronic devices etc because most of the things and places are braille friendly.Visually chalanged individuals deserve the right to equality, and this is something that braille provides.
